iPhone 8 Plus

New London, CT  2017

It was time to replace my ancient iPhone 4s,  so this weekend I got Apple's latest model, the iPhone 8 Plus.  I'm still learning about the capabilities of it's 12 megapixel camera, but at least on my first attempts, I would say I'm pleased with the pictures.  This is right out of the iPhone, without any adjustments.  I don't think I'll be giving up my 12 megapixel Nikon D90 just yet though.

  1. The iPhones camera are surprisingly capable these days. I have not gone to the 8 yet. You must be an early adopter. Good you are not giving up your Nikon yet, but the D90 is getting a bit long in the tooth as is mine.

    1. Usually I'm not an early adopter, but my old iPhones couldn't run some of the apps I needed, so it was time. I agree about the D90, but I still am quite satisfied with the images it produces. I'd much rather lift a camera to my eye, and view through the view finder, compose the shot and shoot. I still have a hard time doing that with the iPhone.

  2. I am a fan of iPhones, too. I use my iPhone 7 from time to time, but my go-to camera is still my Canon DSLR. I am thinking about getting the iPhone X when it becomes available in a month, but I want to read the reviews first.
